At Emergency Relief Team (ERT), we are privileged to witness the incredible resilience of the people we support.
When this courageous woman arrived from Gaza, she had been forced to leave behind everything she knew. Like so many people affected by conflict, she faced uncertainty, hardship and the challenge of starting over in a new country.
With the support of our volunteers, donors and community, ERT was able to provide practical assistance during one of the most difficult periods of her life.
Today, we are incredibly proud to see her rebuild her life with strength, dignity and hope. She has created a new beginning for herself, and her journey is a powerful reminder that compassion can change lives.

A Fresh Start, A Brighter Future ❤️
In May 2023, ERT met an inspiring young man named Marc. At just 22 years old, Marc had a dream of returning to school to study Electrical Engineering, but without stable housing, that dream seemed out of reach.
Through the generosity of our supporters and a collaborative partnership with JRN Community Housing, we were able to help change the course of Marc’s life. Together, we connected Marc with safe and secure accommodation, providing him with the stability he needed to focus on his future and pursue his education.
ERT also provided Marc with clothing to support him as he prepared to begin the next chapter of his journey—a small gesture that carried a powerful message: someone believed in him.
Today, Marc has the opportunity to rebuild, learn, and work towards the future he always envisioned. His story is a reminder that sometimes all it takes is a helping hand, a supportive community, and a chance to start again.
